Speaking at the NFL combine on Friday, Coughlin said he has talked with Umenyiora since the season ended, but he was also a little disappointed the disgruntled veteran said he wanted to either be traded or retire if he does not start next season. Umenyiora, who missed the 2008 season after a major knee injury in the preseason, lost his starting job to Mathias Kiwanuka roughly halfway through last season and barely played in the final weeks.
“I don’t know how you do that,” Coughlin said. “Our field is a field and competition is good; just like we tell to everybody, ‘Go earn it.”’

It is said taht the interviews of the players with NFL jerseys, coaches and so on will be combined.
Their agents spend a lot of time and money making sure their client is prepared for whatever might come up during an interview. NFL teams are looking for candor and will try to trip a player up on occasion or run the old good-cop, bad-cop routine. The idea is to delve into a player’s mental makeup to learn as much as possible about the player’s character and personality.

Tom Cable won't be punished
Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable would not be disciplined after the NFL investigating him for an altercation with assistant coach Randy Hanson and violence against women.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the Associated Press that Cable's confrontation with Hanson, which was first reported by National Fottball Post, was evaluated under the NFL personal conduct policy. Cable allegedly broke Hanson's jaw and teeth last summer, but prosecutors decided not to file criminal chargers due to inconsistencies in Hanson's interviews with law enforcement officials.
Aiello said because the incident occurred before Cable worked in the NFL there was no reason to discipline him under the NFL personal conduct policy. At last, with the coach luck from now on with his players with raiders jerseys.

Chargers face the problem of selecting new players

Blazers struggling to find way
It's not too bad if the Blazers remained eighth in the Western Conference with 23 games remaining. but it seemed the players with trail blazers jerseys failed to solid its position.
Nate McMillan did not uncover his disappointment when his team blew a 25-point lead in a loss to Utah Sunday night. “If we are serious about making a run, we’ve got to act like it and we’ve got to play like it,” McMillan said after the 93-89 overtime loss to the Jazz. “… The moves we’ve made and having guys back, if we’re serious about making a run down this stretch, that’s got to show.”
Jazz just fought them down the stretch of the game. If the Blazers want to get into the play offs they have got to do better.

Sears remain active for Bucs
Guard Arron Sears will be back with buccaneers jersey this season.
Sear missed all of last season after essentially removing himself from the team nearly 12 months ago. But he returned to the club later and had been an active worker at tht team's headquarter. Aaron has been here, he’s been in camp, showing up here working out," Dominik said. "We treat him just like one of the other 80 people on our roster, whether he’s the first or the 80th. The hope is he can continue to work out and get himself into shape. He’s got an entire offseason to see what he can do."
Whether Sear can mantain the level of play,we will wait and see.

2 NFL hopefuls will coming out
Two guys still want to wear the NFL jerseys and they defied age-ols concerns.
The 33-year-old defensive end has a message for scouts: He’s not too old to play in the NFL. “I believe I have a shot at getting drafted,” Crawford said this week after working out in Indy. “If you turn on the film, it doesn’t lie. My age might make some people put a blinder on, but I think you’ve got to see the film first.” Boise State tight end Richie Brockel wants to show scouts his injured left foot is healthy. He said he had gotten bigger, faster,stronger. He thought the chances are pretty good.
They all need to get in front of the people.

Karl coaches first game from the cancer disclosure
Nuggets coach George Karl was hard enough to fight against Cleveland since his neck and throat cancer being disclosed.
Karl, who revealed the illness on Tuesday, likely will miss some games and practices while undergoing a rigorous six-week treatment program of radiation and chemotherapy. He accompanied his team on its two-game trip to Cleveland and Washington, where the Nuggets play Friday night. “It’s going to be my sanctuary to do what I like to do and forget maybe the things that are always going to pop into your mind,” Karl said of being on the sidelines.
Karl said he expects to miss at least a couple of upcoming games. Karl received an outpouring support from the players with nba jerseys.

Injured All-Star Roy still make the trip to Dallas
Guard Brandon Roy with trail blazers jersey won’t play in the All-Star Game because of his injured hamstring, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally off for the weekend—Roy still will have to travel to Dallas for the weekend’s events.

Bryant, who had played in 235 straight games, missed Saturday night’s win at Portland. He originally sprained his ankle on Jan. 29 in Philadelphia. He aggravated it last week against Charlotte when teammate Lamar Odom stepped on his foot. Bryant last played Friday night in the Lakers' 126-113 loss to the Denver Nuggets. He had 33 points and nine rebounds. Already this season he's been playing through a fracture of his right index finger.

Pierce hopes to play soon
We may see No.34 celtics jersey this Sunday. Scoring leader Paul Pierce would return from an injured left foot against the Magic.
Pierce was hurt in Monday and could return after missing just two games with a strained left foot. “I can walk on it,” he said Thursday after sitting out practice. “It’s just a basic mid-foot sprain. It’s not the end of the world. I’ve had worse injuries, to tell you the truth. And the good thing about it is I didn’t have to go into a boot. I’m still walking around on it. It’s just about the pain going away. It’s a sprain, but it’s not the worst sprain I’ve ever had.”
